Founded to bridge law and medicine
Lexmed was founded on a simple belief: exceptional expert evidence begins with exceptional expert practice.
After studying law at the University of Cambridge, Gemma built her career in private healthcare, holding senior leadership and management consulting roles across the UK, the Republic of Ireland and the Middle East.
As Managing Director of Private Care at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Gemma saw first-hand the importance of authoritative, independent medical opinion. She also recognised that outstanding clinicians often lacked the operational support needed to build successful expert practices, while solicitors needed a more responsive and dependable route to accessing the right expertise.
Lexmed was established to bridge that gap.
Today, Lexmed continues to be guided by the same principle on which it was founded: when experts are properly supported, everyone benefits—from clinicians and instructing parties to the courts they ultimately serve.
