Mr Farouk Olubajo is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust, one of the UK's leading specialist hospitals for neurosciences, with expertise in neuro-oncology, hydrocephalus/CSF disorders and cranial trauma. He combines advanced surgical expertise with a strong commitment to innovation, research and service development, helping to deliver high-quality care for patients with complex neurological conditions.

Mr Olubajo graduated from Imperial College London, where he obtained both his MBBS and an intercalated BSc in Medical Sciences with Neurosciences. Following specialist training in Sheffield and Hull, and a Royal College of Surgeons Approved Fellowship in Neuro-Oncology, he was appointed Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre in 2021. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Neurosurgery and he holds a Medical Doctorate from the University of Hull, awarded following two years of lab-based research into the biology of glioblastomas.

His clinical practice encompasses the surgical management of brain tumours — including gliomas and other intracranial neoplasms — alongside hydrocephalus, CSF disorders, and traumatic brain injury. He is Clinical Lead for Hydrocephalus and CSF Disorders, has recently been appointed Chair of the Brain and CNS Cancer Quality Group for Cheshire and Merseyside and established the Trust's formal awake craniotomy service to improve outcomes for patients undergoing surgery in functionally critical brain regions.

As lead for neuro-oncology outcomes, Mr Olubajo has pioneered data-driven approaches to measuring and improving surgical results and he has published extensively in peer-reviewed neurosurgical and neuro-oncology journals.

As founder and organiser of the Prevention and Management of Neurosurgical Complications Course, he brings a systematic and authoritative understanding of safe neurosurgical practice and the standards against which clinical care is assessed in medicolegal proceedings.

Widely respected for his collaborative approach and dedication to patient-centred care, Mr Olubajo is committed to delivering the highest standards of neurosurgical treatment while advancing the future of neurological care through research, education and innovation.

Mr Olubajo has a growing medicolegal practice and can provide expert advice on breach of duty, causation and condition and prognosis. He accepts direct instructions through solicitors and also works with a number of specialist medicolegal agencies.
