He graduated from Edinburgh University in 1995 and completed his postgraduate neurosurgical training in London. He has been a Consultant Neurosurgeon for over 15 years, initially appointed at the Royal Free Hospital before joining the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, the UK's largest dedicated neurological and neurosurgical hospital.
