Miss Anna Panagiotidou is a Consultant Peripheral Nerve Surgeon at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, London, and also practices privately at The Wellington Hospital. She specialises in the surgical management of complex peripheral nerve disorders, working within the UK's leading tertiary referral centre for peripheral nerve injuries, which receives complex cases from across the UK and internationally.
Miss Panagiotidou graduated from University College London Medical School in 2006, having previously completed an intercalated BSc in Pharmacology with Honours in 2004. Following foundation training, she pursued specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics through the University College London Hospitals Specialist Training Programme. Alongside her clinical training, she undertook doctoral research and was awarded a PhD in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2018 after successfully defending her thesis.
Her postdoctoral career included a prestigious fellowship at the Peripheral Nerve Injury Unit at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, which led to her appointment as Consultant in 2022. Miss Panagiotidou now serves as Clinical Lead for her department, where she plays an active role in advancing research, service development, and education within this highly specialised field. She is also an Academic and Educational Supervisor, supporting the training and professional development of future orthopaedic surgeons.
In addition to her clinical and academic roles, Miss Panagiotidou maintains a growing medicolegal practice, providing expert opinion on breach of duty, causation, condition, and prognosis. She accepts direct instructions from solicitors and collaborates with several specialist medicolegal agencies.
